Need some advice: I am having the same type of issues with my KZ1100. I have never been able to get the bike to idle and run well at low speeds. I have RS34 carbs (they were on the bike when I bought it), it was mentioned in this thread that they are too small for a KZ100. What types of issues would there be running these carbs on a KZ1100, is it possible to tune the carbs so that they will work well with the 1100? Or Should I abandon using the RS34s and move to the larger carbs?

While RS36 carbs would probably increase engine power at WOT, using RS34's carbs should not imo cause the reported issues with idle and/or low speed, which issues are typically due to a problem in the pilot circuit, such as imperfectly cleaned, or a damaged part, or possibly wrong size pilot jet.
Where the carbs are otherwise perfect, a carb sync may improve idle and low speed performance.
If not already done, should first assure that all valve clearances are within specs, and that the timing advancer is properly functioning, and that a fat blue spark is visible on every plug, all before addressing the carbs.

there is nothing wrong with the carbs choise or size for an 1100. they are only too small if u were drag raceing only.
just tune the bike and carbs and they will make it purr.
Feel confident that there isnt a better carb out there for the price, for your bike.
what jetting, pipe and intake are u running ?
u would be better off starting a new thread, and detailing your issues exactly. it wouldnt be polite to jack someone elses thread. and it may get more exposure as a new fresh thread.
