APE Super Pro Air Filters Review w/PICS

Question, has anyone had an experience with these? I have read good reviews on a zrx forum. I assume they require oiling just as the K&N's do, correct? You can not beat the price if the quality compares to K&N. Thanks!

I'd be curious about these also...however, on the site, it lists a price of $59.95 but doesn't specify if this is per pod or for a set of four. If it is per pod, then K&N's are considerably less expensive.

Indeed, it is for a set of 4.

:woohoo: <
Me, when I saw this.

I've been debating on replacing Emgo's that my father-in-law has on it now. I don't think there would be too much difference in the air flow to justify jet changes; however, I could be wrong.

According to a gentleman I talked to from APE, they are not a knock off, they are APE's. For the price, I may order them.

Yes.. Post on here what you think of them.

Ours are priced a set of four. If you think that is too cheap, be advised that that is just a minimum. We will accept any amount over that

They are not Emigos ( they are Chinese I think ) Ours are USA made. We have sold these for over twenty years. Yes you oil them like a K&N.

Not before I order a set. :P

I will be ordering them today. I'll probably have them by next Thursday. When I get them in I will take detailed pictures inside and out to post. I will not be able to install them untill I go back to SC the first weekend in June. When I install them I will post how they fit. Sound good?

Hay Jay

Since there are no dimensions for these on the APE web sight. I was wondering what they are for the 42mm ons. I know that the K&N ons fit the fuel injection on THE GPZs but the EMGO do not. They are too wide and interfere with the TPS on the left side. What is the width of these filters? It would have to be less than 70mm to work on the DFI. If it is than I will have to buy a set.

Go to the crazy air fliter idea thread and check out my velocity stacks with 2 K&N filters priced at $38 each; better than buying 4.
