Thanks Zed. Had a feeling it was normal. What do you think of the blowby video?

The blow by oil/moisture mist looks normal to me, nothing to worry about.
If you use the stock air filter housing the oil mist would be burned into the engine.

Yes, I know I'd never see it with a stock airbox, but I've asked this question before with folks with pods, and most say there's no smoke coming out the breather on a good running engine. And it's definitely not moisture, I smell the oil burning strong at a light. And I'm sure the root cause is the bore scoring I see.

Do you have an unexpected/un-normal oil consumption???

Too early to tell, only like 50 miles on the engine. But I think the the cylinder wall scoring and 5-8% leakdown tells the story.

I would do a min. 200 mile non stop drive before i would estimate any oil consumption!!!

That is normal.
The higher the rpm's the more stable the timing mark becomes.
The main thing is getting the full advance timing correct..

Doesn't look bad at all.
Nothing like the Apache smoke signals I expected by your initial description.
I'd leave it alone and just run it.
Give it 500 - 1000 miles and just keep and eye on the oil.
Damaged rings, over wide gaps and scored cylinders work both ways and if it were that bad you would have much worse coming out the exhaust .
Also you really need that breather filter on the end of a long pipe ( or just a long pipe and no filter)  rather than direct to the breather cap.
They always smoke a little no matter what and oil mist gets thrown in with the mix until it eventually saturates the filter.
I run mine up between the carbs and site it close to the upper frame rails and still get an oily mist residue over time.

I concur with zed1015 as far as how to run your breather hose. Run it as high as you can right out of the PVC vent on motor. Just in case you do push some oil out of the motor, it will separate from the air before it gets to the highest part of the hose. Then run the hose to the rear of the bike. You can stick your filter at the end of your hose at the rear of bike. If you do push some oil out of your motor, it will not end up right in front of your rear tire or all over your motor!!!

I like using clear hose that way I can look and see if I am pushing any oil out of my motor. The only thing I usually have in my vent hose is some condensation after wamup.

Here is the hose routing on my Superbike.

I understand the re-route idea on the breather. But right now I see blowby smoke at the source, and scored cylinder walls causing the problem. If you pulled your hose off the breather port, and looked at  it at hot idle after a ride, is there smoke coming out? Even a diesel with twice the compression doesn't smoke on a good running engine.    Very frustrating after all this work. I know the theory is keep riding and seat the rings, but I Don't see that fixing the scoring.

As a matter of fact I have a baffle fitting for the oil fill plug to run a second breather hose.

Thank you everybody for your help!
