I stand corrected. I was always told that there was enough difference in the features of each engine that the two wouldn't work together but with enough machining I suppose anything is possible. I know you know more then I about these motors...

Well the way it sounds. what it would cost to run a j model jug, it wouldnt be worth it. Espiccaly if you gotta run a gpz crank.

I've known of a couple of guys to use a GPZ block on a KZ bottom end, with a KZ crank ( you need to use a Suzuki flat roller cam chain ), with the sliders. The purpose was to see what it took to do it and if it was practical. I have a step by step discription of the process and it's several pages. For me way to much trouble not to use a KZ block.

See...another approach to it :) Anything can be made to work with enough determination..

I know it has been a while since my update for you guys . Today I got a set of Andrews 9x cams , and for dirty cheap I love eBay might I add . I am next looking for valves 37.5 and 31 mm. Manley stainless steel . And I am also after a set of 36s but I would like some feed back on flat slides and smooth bores which would you guys prefer thanks to all you guys for the pointers I can tell this isn't some of you's first rodeo . I know this bike isn't gonna be to very street friendly but for cruising the races I think it will get some attention . And be known as a radical machine on the street scene around here .

way to much cam. Man i would think if i was gonna build a motor i wouldnt just throw what ever i can find together. Not sure what all you gotta do with a 460 lift cam but. I know with a 418 lift which is what i am running, that you need to shave the bottom off the retainers and ret clips. Not to mention clearancing the head, valve springs, aftermarket shim under buckets.

6X was .458 lift , 9X was .500 lift. I can't tell you how many heads I have had to replace the guides on because of street turkeys over camming their engines ...see the manufactures recommendations :S cam's like the 9x were recommended for strip use only. like others have said.......WAY too much cam.
see what the 9x does for guide life..... guides will have accelerated guide wear front to back from the big lift any brand  big lift cams are guide killers, and then you wonder why your super duper head didn't hold it's valve job.... not street-able IMO :S . if your looking for the choppy big cam lope :pinch: pull some choke on it to get the desired cool effect  I'm not bashing, just my .02 :silly: :side:
  eerrrrr i'm rambling again...
