alright bec now its only got about 65hp and stock new it had 87hp so i will notice a differents then.
Likely a good rebuild/tuneup with just the 10.25:1 pistons will make enough difference that you would notice. Will it be what you want? Dunno. Cams will push the power higher up in the power band, but the larger/higher compression pistons should help balance that out some.

Im sorry but I dont understand.WHAT is it u are trying to accomplish here?Do u want a drag racer? Do u want a more responsive street bike? Do u want to spend money just so a dyno reads a specific number?U need to spend a little time deciding what u want ur bike to do and then ask for help from folks on here as to how best to reach ur objective.Kits and cams and rejets are bullshoi unless u have a coherent goal in mind.Otherwise ur wasting ur time and ur money.Just mo.bj

I dont think so.Double Dub said basically the same thing.Just trying to get some clarity and focus so whatever advice is offered is meaningful rather than off-the- lip bullshoi. We get enough of that.BJ

ok its a 1979 kz1000 ltd it has 32,000 on it never rebuilt i just want a fast bike for the street so what would be my best kit for that
MKll engine was installed in '79 and '80 KZ1000,and I think the '81 police bikes.
Stought bottom ends.
No "kits" like the car guys.
I agree with the others
1075/10.25,small carbs(quicker throttle reponse but will run out of breath up top, built in rev limiter . )
small cams(under .400)
Learn about degreeing cams if you don't already know about it.
Old Man Rock has a wright up about it in the file base I believe.
K&Ns,pipe of your choice.

It was a joke dude. If people would search a little, they would find what you said to be a common response.

That would be a good starting point. That would be a good project, nice and simple. Just picking back up that 20hp, you were down in the begainning, would be a real increase! Anything else, would be a real plus for ya. If your bore clearance is okay, you're in tall cotton. Good luck, take your time and have fun.im just going to do a

and if i got j model police carbs
The head is the same as what you have now.
BS34s will require different carb boots, yours might need to be replaced if they are old and need to be replaced anyway.
