wanting to do a 1075 bore kit with 12:1 compression. would it be wise to do that on a stock bottom end, and would the engine hold that much compression.

12/1 would require bottom end work.
What are you looking to do with this bike?
12/1 is to high for these engines on todays pump gas, and race and av gas is pricey.

At the crank?
What was the stock horsepower on the bike when new?

im gonna go out on a limb and say its gonna take more than a set of pistons to reach that number.
id suggest a good cylinder head, cams, carbs to go with it.

what year is it?
the .410 cams are considered border line for needing shim under buckets and other fancy valve train parts.
i personally prefer bigger motors with lower comp and smaller cams that run on pond water, ask anybody whos ever listened to me for more than 10 minutes or tried keeping up with me on a back highway in nebraska/kansas!

Im sorry but I dont understand.WHAT is it u are trying to accomplish here?Do u want a drag racer? Do u want a more responsive street bike? Do u want to spend money just so a dyno reads a specific number?U need to spend a little time deciding what u want ur bike to do and then ask for help from folks on here as to how best to reach ur objective.Kits and cams and rejets are bullshoi unless u have a coherent goal in mind.Otherwise ur wasting ur time and ur money.Just mo.bj

Those kind of HP numbers aren't very usable unless you're drag racing on these motors. Maybe if you did some form of force induction, but there is still a ton of heat created when you increase performance which will reduce longevity, blah, blah, blah, blah. I think the general consensus is that a drivable motor can do something in the high 80's to 90's and still be reliable for everyday riding?

But again, it all depends on what you are wanting to do.

Don't get me wrong, anything is possible - if you're just wanting to make the engine hit a number and don't care how it drives, the more power to you, just post pics!

Edit: I would think that bigger carbs will be mandatory if you are pushing to get >100HP
