That looks like a either very early hand bent Yoshi pipe or a Japanese first generation reproduction.

Good information in this post, now that leads me to this. What the heck do I have here?

The shape of those headers and the way it splits into three pieces is exactly like my Wolf pipe. The only difference is your tail piece, which looks like a yosh. My pipe had the same midpipe that was swaged on both sides. The primaries have a pressed on flange where they mate to the head, they do not use the stock half moon exhaust flanges.
I don't know a lot about Wolf I believe he was a Canadian tuner that built pipes for KZ and GS.

I don't know if Wolf made tailpipes like yours. But the wolf and yosh are both 3" OD it would be easy to graft a Yosh tail piece to the Wolf mid pipe. I know cause I have both and have thought about it.

Interesting, it came out of Canada. Anyone else know anything about these pipes?

I'm pretty sure that's what it is. Don't know much about it other than his name is Gary Wolf, he does airplane and car exhausts as well from what I have read.

The thing is that MAC can make the pipe affordable. You can get the reproduced pipe without a problem, the problem is the cost.

I have not been in contact with them for a while but just give them a call. Last time they told me that they can make a pipe without a cannister if I want one.

my original series 1 had yoshimura racing engraved on about a 2 mm plate taht was welded onto the muffler.
I still use the headers but made up my own muffler. I left the yosh muffler in africa at my in laws and it went missing :( :(

I have two Yoshi pipes with the Aluminum mufflers and one series 1 mini pipe, which is on my 78 Z1R. I want to make a Yoshi stile tail pipe for a Kerker header that I have and get rid of the Kerker tail pipe. The only problem I have ever found with the Yoshi pipes is that you must allways get rid of the centerstand with them. If I use the Kerker header I will be able to retain it. This is one reason I also like the MAC pipes. They perform and sound like the Yoshi and you can also keep the centerstand. The MAC canister pipe sounds like a Yoshi and the Megaphone like the Kerker.
