ok, thanks. I had a feeling it was normal. I lubed the cams and everything because i know it takes a bit for the oil to get to the top-end. I will check my cam chain tension for sure.

Oh crap, almost forgot....
Very important, place a cooling fan on the motor if running at a stand still during this break in period & adjustments...
Again, this was provided by my two mentors in these re-builds and was expressed with a large size 10 in my arse....
Run it for 50 miles, no red lining it but ride it as though it was already broken in, don't stay at constant rpm's.... No red line but put her to the test to really seat those rings and such....
Drive her home, cool down a bit, change the oil & filter due to metal shavings and such off the new build. Re-torque every nut & bolt in the engine... In my case, the whole bike due to be a complete strip down and re-furbish.
Then go for a 200 mile drive and ride her like she wants to be ridden... Like a catholic school girl.....
