That thing has to scream mark. Hows your hearing after a long ride? My ears feel like the day after a concert driving 50 miles to the office.

KZ750R1 + 1991 ZR750 = KZR750R1

What? No Moriwaki Race Systems??? Add this brand to the list. This system came on my first parts bike, and didn't know what it was, but the fact that there were springs holding the collector to each header tube, I knew it had to be something. Found out it was a race system, and stamped on the rear mounting bracket, there it was:

Now it's used on my GPz550 Track Only Bike, but boy does it scream loud at top end.

Well I'm friends with a guy named Mike Velasco [ not sure on spelling on last name ] who was a mechanic at Whittier Kawasaki and he became a tuner for Yoshimura and he knew I had a new KZ650 and they needed one to make pipes. When I first put the pipe on at the Yosh shop Mike told me now try to scrape this pipe on the ground which you can't do with that pipe. I didn't even wait to get the pipe coated with Cal-Gard, I just took the raw pipe and painted it my self. It was pretty cool hanging out at the Yoshimura shop back in the late 70's.

As I recall, Moriwaki was Pop's Yosh's son in law. He built some nice parts for Kawasaki's. It's rare to find those components anymore.

I thought it may be a good idea to document all of the 4 into 1 headers that were produced for the Z1. Here is a preliminary list, this could get HUGE as it seemed everyone with a tubing bender and welder had their version!

Denco
Hooker
Jardine
Kerker
Mac
Murray
RB Racing
RC Engineering
Vance/Hines
Winning Performance
Bill Wirges

Poking through the ads in the back of some old magazines would probably double the size of this list.

Thats a good job! Add the Star pipe, from Star Racing. It was big, a long time ago.

Here is a pic of the Star Cycle sidewinder header I have. Anyone know how long ago this pipe was made? This one is brand new and I just listed it in the classified section here.
