that star pipe is what is known as a street sidewinder i have used one myself for about 15 years it comes with a baffle that is removeable i have used it on my little drag bike and it makes good power i also have used it on my street bike with the baffle in place i was told they where made by vance for star racing they also have a pro pipe that is similar to the vance and they also built a pro stock or pro modified big tube spyder pipe very good quality and good power and adjustability because the the head pipes arent fixed in postion like most header systems. pricing was very similar to the vance pipes they are pretty much a dragrace pipe as ground clearance is limited on the right side the pipe you have has a bit more because of the way the megaphone is angled up slightly.

Thanks for that info TB. I really am not too familiar with Star's pipes It seems to be a very well made pipe though. Any idea how long ago they stopped making these?

I know this is an old post but thought I would add pics of my left hand side denco for a 650. It is currently on the bike so I do not have any measurements, but will attempt to remember to get them the next timem I pull it.

Mark, were you ever able to identify this header? The hanger looks alot like the one on my un-identified pipe. The header is very similar as well. I'm still searching for info on my pipe.

Hmm... I've went through this whole thread and not really saw a header that looks exactly like mine.... saw a few that were similar.... Makes me wonder what it is now....

I'll get some better pictures if anybody really cares...

That looks alot like the one I had on my Z1. I was told it was a high dollar pipe and had a guy offer me 500 bucks for it and a kerker in 1981. I said no

Here is a Wolf on my 650, it's currently on the shop floor so I'll get some measurements for it. Pipe after the collector is HUGE.

And here is the Muzzy thats on the 650 now. Its stainless and much smaller than the Wolf, I'll take measurements of it as well. Although the pipe fits the head spacing it does not follow the frame well, so it may be for a ? zook or ?

Here is a left side exit pipe I had on my 650C back in the early 90's. I'm unsure of its origins but possibly Denco ? This pic was taken the day I brought her home, it lost the windshield, gained superbike bars and lots of cleaning/polishing.

Jardine kz1000...great fit....smooth bends...no exhaust manifold finned collars or smaller split collars needed

has exhaust flanges in place

not every ones favorite look ...oval can...but i am actually very impressed by how well it mounts and seals the exhaust coppers in minutes.....good ground clearance...up swept....not super common.....got mine 245 used no blemishes

Supertrapp for 76-900...i had always wondered when i have had it ooff to work on the bike, why it was so look alike to the Kerkers upper 4 into ones I had in the 80's ,not the aluminum canister muffler but the header and mid pipe sweeps much like a early Kerker megaphones upper......

I think i know why now..Kerker was bought out by Supertrapp???? and there designs absorbed into the Supertrapps?

i have only seen four of these for sale in 4 yrs...mine was under 300 in perfect condition .....used
