Just getting the MKll back on the road.Putting on the Denco header that was on it when I bought it 25 years ago, I had forgotten the neat little notch on the megaphone mount that fits the rear footpeg holder to attach the meg. More pics soon...

HEY HEY HEY

Where are the pictures of the rest of that Denco pipe??? What model is it? Don't be teasing us with that, half ass Denco photo.

Well? I'm still waiting!
Those were some of the best, small bore headers ever made. With those small tubes it lowered the power band and made it more useabale. You could feel a power increase, just by bolting one on. Complete different power band then Kerker, RC, VHR, etc.

All things come to those who wait...reassembly and tweaking is taking a little longer than planned,as usual. You're right about the Denco small tube headers-this one is 1.25" primaries with a right side exit standard megaphone.Would love to find a reverse cone left exit Denco pipe.

that denco looks like it used a very small diameter collector on it how big inside is it, it looks real tiny almost the size you'd expect to see on a 650 header.

Hmm... I've went through this whole thread and not really saw a header that looks exactly like mine.... saw a few that were similar.... Makes me wonder what it is now....

I'll get some better pictures if anybody really cares...

My guess is first generation RC Eng.- had one like it on a 75 Z1B that I bought in the summer of 76.

Mark, the pipe's back on the bike- even though I'm not completely finished with reassembly etc. I had to go for a ride or 2. Pics soon, and I will take the measurements you asked for.I've never seen another right side meg Denco pipe like it.

The paint is Krylon BBQ paint, advertised for up to 1200 degrees and have had very good luck with it staying on. Canadian Tire ,about $8.00. The pipe was sandblasted ,then bead blasted and cleaned with lacquer thinners before paint.Prep is everything.

It's only alittle bigger then a kz650 pipe. They could pull power out of any motor. The right side exit pipe(monocone), had the most power. The left side pipe(Tricone) did not corner worth shit, they always had dents in them. Those left side pipes, hurt guys with lowered bikes, making fast left turns.

I still say, the right side exit pipe from Denco, will out perform most pipes on the market today. I have used them all and would kill for a new Denco in the box. They just fit the average guys, bolt-on power need. These pipes can turn big rpm's on small motors up to 1105cc.

Now my question is, is it a momocone or a tricone? My guess is a momocone? I just can't remember!
