On a similar note... I've noted there are some pyros in the SEA area these days, with all the cars being torched I see on the K5 news. I would wonder if it wasn't a random act and your bike was singled out. So, is an insurance claim an option? Might at least contact them to see what ARSON coverage you have... might be worth looking into?

I hope it was just coincidence there was somebody fidiling about and you really had an errant electric fire.
Regardless, keep your spirits up.
From the looks of it, there will be very little engine damage.
You can part it out over the off season.
