Hey KZCSI, with those flaired jacket sleeves are you sure you're not Evel Knievel or Elvis?
I'll bet neither Evil nor Elvis could scoop flying insects into their sleeves as well as I did. Felt him crawling around but got him out before I got stung.

Motorhead (Darryl) really deserves to be acknowledged for his efforts in the NW leg. He's the one who went East (not sure how far east) to get it. He asked me to carry the flag into Washington. He's the one who continued north to make the hand off to Schuss, near Seattle.
Thanks Darryl!

Hope you like it.

Bill your video turned out great, that Go-Pro takes a real nice footage. Glad your ride back alone from the Gorge went well. Looks like you had some fun, I can see you twisting it pretty good at take off. Good to ride with you again. We'll do some more another time.

Actually Dave on his Honda CBX for this trip. That is one nice bike, super smooth power. Easy cruising at high speeds. We matched MPG once, otherwise my KZ sucked up more premium than his. I had to stop every 100 or so, with the farthest being 145.KZCSI wrote:

I do want to catch the flag on the way south one way or another.
Motorhead and Dave are probably in Seattle by now. I left them in Carson, WA four hours ago. Their plan was to continue north along the Wind River. I just got back from 354 great miles. My 1300 got 39.97 MPG and purred the whole way. I took some video coming back over Mt. Hood. I'll post it up on youtube later.
Had a great time!

There are no riders in Nevada. OMR could do a little jog on the way back from SoCal and throw a couple bucks in the slots in Laughlin, NV. Maybe spend a night or two at one of the little mom and pop hotels there. :woohoo: :ohmy:kaw-a-holic wrote:

I'll be in New Mexico in a few weeks. Length of my stay is undetermined. I would like to meet with OMR in AZ if weather permits. If the flag is down in SoCal while I'm there, I'll ride along to pick it up.

Dave, you are most likely the anchor man. :woohoo: Consensus has the flag finishing the lower 48 at 4 Corners. I'd like to be with you when you get it there. I lived in Sedona for a while and I know the winters in Flagpole are awful. Can you sneak around the mountains to get to 4 corners and not run into snow and ice? If not we will have to wait for early spring to finish, assuming you can get the flag this season.
How's the Voyager coming along? Haven't seen a post from you on the AVA site in a while.
