On the road in 20 can't wait to meet you guys. I haven't taken this route before but I'm told is an epic ride I will do my best to take pictures for all of you

Assuming the fates smile upon me, my tires arrive and I get them mounted, and no other mysterious gremlins arise... Then YES! South I shall ride! Might even get the girlfriend to ride along, (not much luck convincing her to drive chase in the van). Sh!t, it just occurred to me that my passport might be expired, do I still need a passport to cross the border? Anyone know offhand?

Hey Killman, you will need a passport as others have stated. I would try to get it done pronto though since it took my wife 3 weeks to get her Canadian passport earlier this summer. Keep in mind she had to send the application to Ottawa from Florida. You may also be able to get an expedited passport or do it at a local branch. Like I said, her circumstances were a bit different. Bad news I wrecked the bike in Kooskia, ID. I will not be making it to Boise. I am okay the KZ, not so much :sick:

Anyone have a way to contact Motor Head? If no response soon, I'll be heading out tonight

Sorry to hear about your mishap. But as long as you are O.K, then that is the best outcome one can hope for.

Made it up and back to where Motor Head was camped and passed along the news. No cell phone service. Sounds like he will be heading back to Bend tomorrow.

Will do. Once I talk to the guys, and see what sort of time frame happens on Sunday. Then I'll know about Monday, and a time for coming through JD. It won't be late that I can tell you. I'll shoot for no later than 3 pm. Hopefully earlier.

You are on the road by now, and may not get this, but hopefully you will be thru here earlier than 3 pm Monday - it's about a 5 hour round trip from here to Bend area, so 3 pm will return me here about 8 pm - about dark. I had hoped and planned to ride as far as Prineville, where I would need gas anyway - but if things get too late in the afternoon, might have to start the return earlier than that. Have a great and safe trip - will see you sometime Monday!

I have a smart phone and can log on from camp, signal permitting. I will let him know.

Thanks - no big issue, if his travel plans get him to my area later in the day than earlier thought and hoped, it simply means my ride with him might be shorter - not a big deal, more important he rides safe!

Not real sure of the meaning - then Motor Head will NOT be able to get the flag, and weekend plans are cancelled? Would still be neat to meet up with him for a ride on his return if he returns this way, flag or not...
