or we could just keep it going for ever
i wonder how many kms or miles its traveled
how many cool places and folks its seen so far
this is the coolest bike related thing ive ever been involved in
it makes me feel cooler than i really am
and i was pretty fucking cool before i did my part last year
I like the "keeping it going forever" idea , why not ? What else are you going to do with it, put in in the KZR museum
After Canada and the main land there is still Alaska, Hawaii, Newfoundland,New Brunswick ,Nova Scotia , ect...
The flag could loiter anywhere until someone decides to take a ride and go get it.

The whole world is available.......I know riders in many countries from another forum.
I live near Portland, Oregon and my rider is a '76 KZ900 I bought new. I'm also in the process of restoring another one and a '73 Z1.

I may show up to that on Saturday. Why don't you ride with us on Sunday? Thinking about a 140 mile loop.barreto wrote: I know there was some discussion earlier about meeting in boise. There's a vintage bike show at Big Twin on saturday from 10am-2pm that a few of us are going to. Not sure if anyone else is interested.
I would if I could but I'm headed out of town right after the bike show. If I had known about this whole relay, I would have planned around it.

I don't think that would be a good idea for the Honda folk to try that.

Assuming the fates smile upon me, my tires arrive and I get them mounted, and no other mysterious gremlins arise... Then YES! South I shall ride! Might even get the girlfriend to ride along, (not much luck convincing her to drive chase in the van). I'm not sure if I'll take the ferry to Seattle, Port Angeles, or island-hop starting with San Juan.
Sh!t, it just occurred to me that my passport might be expired, do I still need a passport to cross the border? Anyone know offhand?
Yep, Passport is a most definite. Gone are the simple days of crossing the border.
The Ferry system from Sydney to Friday Harbor, then on through the Islands to Anacortes is great. But it will take some time, if you plan on getting of and sight seeing/ riding etc. If so, the town of Mt Vernon, near I5 could be a meeting spot. Thats about 90 miles N of Seattle.
All in the air at the moment, so Input is appreciated.
Ferries would be a pretty fun way to go, once you get west of Seattle onto the Olympic coast the roads are less busy and more enjoyable.
If you want to stay on land but avoid Seattle and freeways, the roads are pretty good skirting the city to the east, something like this:

Oh well about Monday I guess. I'll still be riding the long route back.
We'll ride together as far as you want.

Still a "go" here, if your travel plan still includes returning near John Day area, and it's not too late in the day to allow my accompanying you to, and return from, about Prineville back home decently early in the afternoon - I'm not too comfortable in riding in the deer-infested mountains in the dark - we lose a couple of bikers each year from deadly deer encounters...
