what did you do to your bike today?

Put new spark plugs in my KZ1000 because after running at 70mph for a long time, it started to get a bit of vibration through the bars - not like anything to do with handling, more like engine.

Fixed it up - for now.

Recently put flatter bars on in lieu of the horrible looking ape hangers.

Re-installed carbs after a good cleaning.

...well, still waiting for my new tank and seat for the KZ, so I did a little work on my Sportster.

...I swapped out 10 bolts that hold on the front rotor and blank cover for the other side. Got rid of those nasty old stainless steel bolts for some nice new shiny chrome bolts.

...did you know that chrome is more aerodynamic than stainless steel? Damn right, the more chrome, the more slippery you get.

Finished rebuilding the front forks and installed them back on. Started polishing the spokes on the front wheel. Mother's polish is really doing a nice job. Things are staring to come together.

Rode the KZ1000 out to the scooter shop to get new plug caps for the Voyager XII. They didn't have them, had to order 'em in. Get em on Tues. At least I won't have to pay shipping from Bike Bandit. Ran out of gas just as I drove up to my garage door. Perfect, I want to take the tank off the KZ for paint, but then I wont have anything to ride for a while except that nasty old truck. Life's a bitch when the weather is nice and no ride. Maybe I'll wait on the paint.

Put on a new rear tire, thought about how to mount my oil cooler when it gets here and stared the CBR 1000F (Hurricane) roller that I got for free to see if I can maybe get the forks and wheels to work on my bike.

Fresh clutch time.

Well I put these on.... had a bear with them, new manifolds as well. Of course you need some Jeff Beck to make the install go smoother :laugh:

rode the wheels off of it. ZOh and put my side covers back on

Swapped out the barrel fuse style box for a spade type one, made a new end for my clutch cable, pumped up the tires on my 1981 KZ1000LTD, and shot off down the street like a rocket
