My baby runs great now, just in time to go cruise with all the new college students in town (Iowa City, home of the Hawkeyes!). I may be getting older, but I still love me some freshmen sorority girls walking down the streets in packs this first weekend they're all in town, lol. Easy pickings once they hit the bars later tonight, mwaaahhhahahaha! 'I get older, they stay the same age.'
haha great Dazed and Confused reference....
replaced throttle cables, ordered new brake line, replaced tach cable

Gave the old girl a quick spray wax and headed to Chi Town Harley in Orland Park for their birthday celebration. Parked just outside the lot for fear of maybe one guy that didn't want to see a jap bike in the lot next to the Harley's. Met a close friend that I hadn't seen in some time, had a beer and BS'd a bit. When I went to leave, the two guys checking bikes in asked about the Kaw and I spent another half hour talking to the two of them. I noticed that the Harley guys with gray hair, like myself, appreciate the old girl. Most of them started out with a Kaw or Honda back in the day. Had a great time and met some good people.
