There you go....just send your lackey. He already knows the way and has too much time on his hands. He could most likely use the dime too. No boid haus orders. :( Sounds like he was a corn picker too. Prolly enjoy the nostalgia. He'd prolly grab a couple ears of corn and hold them up to the sides of his humongous head and declare he was LBJ. Same joke he tells every New Years with dinner plates. Not too sure if the bike would make it though. Could be another victim of Donner Pass.

You know, I read this and think WTF....

Aren't you the same guy who posted regarding expensive parts for these old Kawis and now you want to learn to do a burn out and a Wheelie...

Why ruin a perfectly good tire....

I guess I just don't get it....

In all seriousness, this says to us where your experience level lies regarding motorcycle skills... I'm not making fun of you by no means we all learned our skills over the years but if you don't already know the basics of these two skills, don't try this on your Old Kawi for there are way too many things that can go dangerously wrong...

You miss shift, brakes give what ever, tire brakes apart, motor blows, suspension collapses.... not only danger to your self and by standers but to the old KZ itself...

If you think you had spending issues before wait till you miss shift at 8K....

Do your self a huge favor, get the old girl running optimum where finely tuned and go for a nice ride, sure twist the throttle a little when safe to do so but enjoy her and ride safe and this old girl will last for years...

Dave's right! Kaws have the perfect mix of power and durability. I personally, while not a racer, have never had a problem with a Kawasaki frame, including my H1, which was the quickest two wheels I ever sat upon.

If you want to make some smoke, clamp down on the front brake, rev the motor and dump the clutch, this of course with your feet on Terra Firma. Some folks here have mentioned rolling burnouts, way cool, but generally beyond what's available from a KZ, at least a stock KZ.

from a stand still has always been easier for me to do a burnout. hold the brake and let go of the clutch while giving it gas. you will stall it the first couple times.
rolling is dangerous if the bike gets Squirrelly and you panic.
now your moving on a out of control bike.
as for a wheelie, i can't help you.
the two or three i've done have been done by pure accident.
scared the dog doo out of me.
if your not expecting it and Suddenly your front tire is two feet in the air it makes the pucker factor real high.

someday i will be able to afford my kz habit.

Wrong guy... If I do... Sorry Yuka for the previous posting statement...

For the rest of what I wrote, still stands. ;)

For those of us growing up on dirt bikes, you bet, we ALL had to learn how to do a wheelie... There wasn't a kid out there not trying to wheelie.

Here's the thousand dollar question, how many times did you witness the "Oh crap that had to hurt" or in your own experiences "Oh crap this is going to hurt"....

Learn to wheelie, if you truly desire to do so.... as already mentioned get a dirt bike for that one for a 400 pound KZ and asphalt will only lead to extreme pain... For both you and KZ.

As for burn out, you can learn to pop the clutch on a dirt bike as well... Wet grass, locked front brake equates to donut time... Yeah, we did that one as well...

Again, these old Kawi's have some serious power for a 30 year old design.... A stock rim/tire on one of these old girls and a twist of the throttle with a front brake lock, she'll spin...

Yup, she'll spin alright.... spin right out of your control and she'll spin to "Oh crap"

But hey, it's your ride... Video tape it for the rest of us ok! Plummen, get your pop corn theater image ready...
