KZR Chicago Chapter.

Well, I just sent my wife outside to shovel the snow:laugh: so I have time to relax. Boy this weather really sucks. Just blew a hole threw a transmission cooling hose on my van, so I will have to take it in on Monday to have it fixed. That's why this weather DOUBLE sucks. Can't crawl under it to fix it myself and have to pay some shmo to do it for me, and I have to take a couple of vacation days while it is getting fixed because I can't ride to work in this S#*T. Sometimes Chicago really sucks the big one.

I have four guys at least that have 1000's that we ride any given Sunday. We should get together and make it a regular thing.
And of course we have gone down south to meet up with the other KZR guys which was a hoot. We rode from Chicago to St. Louis and kept riding while we were down there until night fall. Four in the morning till 8p mostly on the rode riding. So yeah, I guess you could say we like to ride our bikes a little when we can. Would be nice to see a group of us from Chicago go down there to ride with those guys.
I was thinking of doing a Deals Gap Dragon Tail ride. For sure riding to Mid-Ohio days and very likely and most definitely doing Laguna Seca in July for the Moto GP. Would love to do that with more than our regular group.
Florida I think will be a regular stop for the xmas holidays for two weeks every year. I was even considering buying a little condo 2 or 3 bedroom place to sublet and use when we go down for xmas and possibly spring break every year. With real estate prices coming to almost rock bottom and all the foreclosures I should be able to afford a place there for fun.

hey, we have a nice group of old kaws down here that get together every weekend and ride(weather permitting).we are just across the river from st.louis in the alton area.we are also looking for any one on an old kaw that wants to ride.we have about ten riders now and we are always looking for more:) maybe we can get together one weekend and ride up there and ride with you guys.nothing sounds better than a pack of old kaws ripping up the strees.:woohoo:

My wife is Syrian bordering on Lebanon:ohmy: I can't figure it out but she likes to do it:huh: Shovel snow I mean:blush: :silly: I sure won't fight her for the shovel. Boy I can't wait to put my new top end on the GPz Due to the fact that it has only been a mostly stock CSR 998 motor up to this point. Should have the custom 1150 pistons by the end of the next week. This means I can punch my jugs and have everything ready when my garage warms up. My .410 lift cams are also on the way and should be here at the same time.

It got over 70* today so I pulled it out. Two cranks and it fired right up. I stored it with a full tank of gas and carburetor boles empty. Happy time in Chicagoland again.

I'm still waiting to get my head and block back. Shoulda sent it out earlier when I didn't have the money to pay for it so that by the time I did I woulda been riding today. That's ok. It will be done soon enough and I can't wait to see what it will run like.
I still need to find a nice oil cooler just like the one that Cro Dog has on his bike. Do you have any ideas of where I could buy one in nice shape?

Hey Sax, I just took my windshield off and claened the road salt and gunk off of my bike. Man that road salt is hard on polished aluminum! Been riding on the occasional warm days we had down here.
