Well, chrome isn't my thing, but your bike certainly has made a transformation! Very clean. The wheels do pop right out, don't they! Are you doing anything else?

Not yet but maybe soon. This one's for sale in British Columbia... where I could be spending a week or so every second month for the foreseeable future.

Note the extensive modifications... to the paint scheme.

but this is my first season with it - you probably won't recognize it in the spring. I've already replaced the rear shocks, started building a new seat, upgraded electronics, and put on some good rubber. But it's still riding season right now! Can't get carried away yet!

My other bodywork set looks kinda-sorta like DrWhizBang's 650. Here is a pic of my red rocket last year at the 1/8 mile drags running a heavily-tweaked old 500 triple. The other guy was kinda looking down his nose at my bike so I didn't tell him I had an 810 big-bore kit.

As you can see, I had a nice holeshot and stomped on him with my 810 beating him by nearly half a second.

Heres my 1979 Z650 in the UK.

Added mags....

I've still got the original paint and spoked wheels, but bought spare tank and plastics and mag wheels.

Painted it to look like this.....

Its a great ride and looks a little different.

I'd love some rear sets but I've only seen ones for rear disc brakes and not for a drum.

Just bought some clubman bars and will flip headlamp brackets when I get time.

Well, I've been riding and paying attention to motorcycles for 40 years. I bought a new Z1B in 1975 and have been hooked on Kwaks since then...and that is when I started really watching what other people rode. I have done most of my riding in California, Wisconsin, and Texas and last year I saw my first KZ650 on the road...I don't even have a clear memory of seeing a 650 on the showroom floor when I bought new bikes in 1977, 1979, and 1982...

Rstnick: Did you guys get a deal on the paint ?? Or was your painter fixated on blue ?? ;) :P
Just kidding. But you have to admit, it's pretty rare to see THREE 650's all in blue and together at one place/time.....
