Kz 750 road racer , dry clutch project

02 Jan 2021 20:18
#841082
Built this road racer a few years back
As a challenge , it's been competitive
Now I've decided to go down the rabbit hole
And build a dry clutch
Took lots of pics on the build over the last month, not tooting my horn yet because
Only 75% complete,but looks promising

It would be interesting to see how you did that.

For future posts, if you click Insert or Insert All before submitting, the pictures will show up as high resolution pics in the thread instead of tiny little thumbnails.

Looks like fun. Are those two different paint jobs, or are the stripes different colors on different sides? Also, what's that gizmo with the tube coming out of it located where the starter motor used to be?

Gizmo is my remote starter
Slide into cog ,hit button using one hand
No kick ,bike starts then remove
That's another project LoL

Interesting project!!!! Going to keep an eye on this one for sure!!!

Here is a close up shot of the dry clutch set up on the factory GPz750 Kawasaki that Mr. Muzzy put together back in 1983.

1972 H2 750 Cafe Racer built in 1974.
1976 KH400 Production Road Racer.
1979 Kz1000 MK. II Old AMA/WERA Superbike.
1986 RG500G 2 stroke terror.
1986 GSXR750RG The one with the clutch that rattles!

Up in the hills near Prescott, Az.

This shows how the Ducati cast iron cush drive was made into a different design
Using aluminum, the original Kawasaki clutch basket spline was removed from the cast alum basket and pressed into the newly fabricated billet cush drive
