Had to remove the steering lock on the neck,it was in the way of the gsxr ignition, pics soon. I'm not real sure on what to do with the hole that is left there now. Thought of tapping it for a set screw or maybe just a plug of some sort?
Also I am not sure as to what kind of grease to use on the neck bearings?

Bought me a kz1000 tail piece too and now looking at various tail lights, hope to find one that will tuck up under that tail real nice. Then I will be making a seat to fit.

For the tail light I'm still in the old school and take the original tail light and tuck it under the 1000 tail..
If done right there isn't anything more beautiful and still original.. To me if you keep the chrome fender and morph the two for an ideal blend of use looks..
I also love how your build is going.. Next to the Kawi green bike the red one is second fastest.. And has the 6th gear tranny..
Lol

one thing i have found that is a huge time saver is a port-a-band saw.
i use it to cut the ignition switch mounting lugs off as close as is fast and easy.
then it cuts way down on the time i am milling.
not trying to tell you your business.
i just never realised how handy the port-a-band was until i got one and then i was like DAMN i needed this along time ago  .
lookin good,
keep us posted,
leon

Not the wheel I'm using but this for set up
I suppose I will have to make an axle to fit my mag wheel or I could just use the gsxr wheel

Don't feel too overwhelmed, that's what leads to unfinished projects. Keep going at whatever pace you can manage, I know I love where this is going.
