Here is a part I made to replace the plastic for the choke linkage. Made a total of 8 pieces to hav some extra on the shelf

That's a cool part, had to replace all four of mine last year, the plastic ones just crumbled away. Granted, they were probably 34 years old. :)

Thanks, yeah only one of my plastic ones was usable. So I decided to make my own out of some brass I had laying around, hopefully they will hold up better than the plastic ones.

If you do, take a real close look at the original. There is a vent in the form of a slot cut through the threads. Ed

I wound up using the stock kz stem. The stem was swimming in the triple, but was only .010 difference so .005 per side...bushing would be too thin. So I bored the hole in the triple clamp larger and also turned the stem down leaving about .025 of a lip for the bottom seal, I then made the bushing for the stem. I now plan on making a slug to go inside the bottom of the stem which I will drill and tap after I weld the bushing stem and slug all together. Then press into the triple and use a bolt on the bottom.
