Is it a high temp paint?

The black isnt the green is. But honestlyI have done it before and had zero issues. It's more over-spray then coats of paint. I will prove it when im done the build.

Haha! You're crazy!! No way! lol.
Did have some problems today though. Seat was too wide at the thighs for my liking so back to the fibreglass factory. I sanded the sides down and re-enforced the inside instead. I tested it and I liked it better.
Second discovered issue was I cant get the rear brake to fit in its normal upright spot, it inter fears with the shock mount, I tried to make it work but wasn't successful. Going to have to mount it upside-down with a plate/bracket off the rear axle bolt then to the bigger of the two mount bolts.
Third issue..The sprocket seems to line up to stock sprocket pretty much.. I have no idea how with my previous measurements after flipping the sprocket.. So now I have the D&G set-up as surplus.

As I have mentioned before the seat is the bane of this builds existence. I needed to build up the sides again due to the lost material from tapering it. Then I had to re-sand the whole thing. :pinch:

The brake holder needs some slight rework as well. 2 steps forward 1 step back...

I was also having balancing issues with the tires. Research found Metzellers are known for the red dots being off. So after spending hours to get it where it needed less weights (it was needing too many IMO). Next time I find the rims heavy spot without tires on. In the end I gave up and switched to dyna beads instead.. Aint no party like a dynabead party.

Install callipers and lines properly! ..Was a bit of a puzzle a year later. Polished and reinstalled oil cooler. Sits on the kickstand now without the jack. Installed shorty leavers.

Shock mount solution. Re-used old shock mounts rubber and metal collars, just sized them down to make it into a backing plate forcing the shocks out further from the pegs.

So the bike is lower for sure. It feels a lot lighter than the original Z by quite a bit. No doubt the gas tank and seat are making a big difference. The stock forks with all its goodies are pretty heavy and the wheels too. When I had the kickstand on a 2x4 it accidentally fell over to the opposite side and I saved it by only holding the rear wheel and I pushed it back. There is no way I could have done that stock.
I cant help but wonder if some of the lightness comes from the wider tires creating less sharp of a lean pivot as well. Meaning its easier to tip the bike over stock.
