The frame is back from the powder coating, and I put on the rear swing arm, and the front triple-trees, just sliding in the forks after painting then with the same color as the wheels.

the battery box, tail light housing, brake and gear lever, pipe side covers, center stand, and side stand all powder coated. the front and rear fender too were powder coated, even though it looks like paint. it should all outlast the original bike frame.

love bikes, and anything with a engine/motor, and i love the ride way more than the destination, unless I have a passenger, then that's all that matters.

Well I finally had time and energy to put the front wheel, and shocks on.

I got the seat back fro getting re-upholstered too...I wish he made the stitching on the side go straight back instead of that hump. Oh wel, maybe next time.

So here is the basic profile...I think I'll paint the rear fender black too,,,maybe silver.

On my '82 KZ650 CSR, the front axle is in FRONT of the forks, with the brake calipers BEHIND the forks. Of course you may have a different arrangement with the dual disc set up.

Nice work done. Best of luck on the project. Let me know if I can help.

That frame looks very nice in matt finish, sest is very nice looking too.Just throwing it out there are you still interested in trading your spokes for mags? I have mags (with double front disc set-up) on my 79 650 in good shape.

Send me some pics of your mags...sure, I'll be interested...thanks.

I scrubbed my wheels with scouring pads, and 400 sandpaper, then painted them with self etching primer then with NHT wheel paint, they're not too bad, but I'd rather have mags, I think.

can't forget the primer, before you paint the wheels, it will hold up better. I'm probably going to do a clear coat too to make it even better.

I have a brand new set of rear spokes too, I couldn't find front spokes...now what I'd like to do is have the spokes copper plated, and the rims chrome.

kool, thanks Martin, good to get another persons perspective.
I wish the line on the side would have matched a line from the tank line to the fender line: bottom of tank to top of fender.

dang....I gotta swap....you're right....thanks, and I had the book out too.

my 8 yr old daughter was helping and she was getting fussy which was stressing me out a bit, so I must have missed that.
