No I think due to the way I would want packaging, would do a blow through. Just have to tap the carb bowl vents to the intake plenum to keep from shooting fuel out of them! Doing a turbo would take me back to previous work ventures.... Sounds like a plan? Keep boost reasonable around 6-8 psi....

Oooohhhhh Ccccrrrraaappppp!!!!!!!

So tell me just how screwed am I. I was a complete idiot. I couldn't be more stupid or incompetent. I know better, but was struggling to get the ignition rotor off and ended up sheering the ignition alignment dowel off!! So, what are my options? Is the fowl just pressed in the end of the crank? If it is pressed in, is it hard press or not that tight? I got a pilot hole drilled just about in the center and tapped it with a 3mm thread so I can hopefully thread a small screw in and pull on it.

Do you think I'll have to replace the crank? Do you think Falicon can fix it? I think I'll have them lighten, weld, and balance it. Guys how can I survive this? Any words of wisdom? Anyone do this? How deep is the dowel?

Help!

Your Not Cory thr Idiot ;) Your Cory the Turbo Guru :)
Never had to get one out , but sure it can be done.
If you got deep pockets (Like I used to in my youth) Send the crank to Falicon and have it Maxed Out

Yeah youre not the 1st to break one of those little pins ,if you can get it to a machine shop they should be able to get it out.
As far as the falicon thing its like I tell my customers:Anything your heart can desire and your checkbook/banker can handle we can do! :woohoo:

Well I am thinking about using my slide hammer and a nice steel 3 mm bolt, apply a little heat to the dowel pocket and hopefully pull it.

You might try a left handed drill bit 1st to see if it will grab hold and spin it out of there without tearing the crank up B)

I don't have a LH drill, the hole I felt safe drilling is 5/64". I am nervous but I am wondering if they used Loctite or something. I was hoping that someone has done this and give wisdom...

Ive always taken it to a machinist to have it done, thats my words of wisdom for ya!
I think its just a really hard roll pin that's pressed in there,no Loctite on it. B)

Wow crazy awesome thread. If it was me I would get it running and working and tackle the advancements later. I have the same problem in a smaller scale. I'm trying to build 2 bikes, I get in all these parts, I have to do some light fab work I just dont have enough time and the fab parts are slow going.

Can't find the thread on the funnybike but he's on Dragbike.com. He did a long build project on what he was doing and all the troubles and seccesses he had. It was interesting to read but also a lot of work.
