Hey Ram, keep goin, I read most everything posted in this forum even though I don't often post. This has been an awesome project and I'm amazed at what you've accomplished since you started. I think its time to change the tread name from thrown together to ride till winter to Finessed and perfected to ride by Spring, don't slow down and don't ya dare stop.

I am havin a day!
Normally I dont have an internet connection here at my daughters house, but today I got lucky and am hitchhiking on someone elses signal
Where do I start? 1st I brought the camera and new batteries but fogot the memory card so no progress pic's except for phone pic's that take forever to email save and upload.
I was making stellar progress but as you all know I am quite the rookie ar this
I decided to get some threaded bushing looking things and weld them to my frame.
I cant remember which build or member I saw do this but with my limited tools and expenses
it worked beautifully
I am smarter than everyone else on the planet (in my mind) so I measure cut weld and as i sit on it making some really cool motorcycle sounds I go to put the kickstand up.
The bike is securely strapped to the jack, and I notice well... there id no way the shifter linckage will mount and the kickstand is hitting the shifter!!
Being the patient methodical person I am I decide to think on it a bit
sitting in the chair looking at the brake side trying to determine the exact placement of the resevoir I realize I havent got the pipe on it and there is no way the pipe is gonna fit!!
so I am taking another break trying not to panick or take a sledge hammer to it and work on my seat mod for a bit maybe something will come together today
After all I am sure I can figure a better way without scrapping my first setup (I knew it was way too easy I am gonna ponder on it tonight bring my pipe with me tomorrow and look for kickstand alternatives tonight.
I did take a couple pic's with my phone so I will post a few so I can laugh at my dumb axx.
You really would think I would grow out of the ADD stuff and learn some patience
Therapy! Yes I know

i had to heat and bend my kick stand, that helped, then i had it cut in 2 and added about a 1" piece to make it longer.
i also had to grind the kickstand boss at the frame to clearance the shifter linkage arm i used. U will have to come up with an arm somewhere. Some guys have used gpz linkage.
Anyone else have a suggestion ?
as for the foot peg placement. i can tell u from experience that the best placement for track riding is right below the V in the side of the frame. the best place for comfort is the stock position. so keeping those points in mind, if its a street only ride, i would stay as close to stock as u can visually accept. Of course, I realize that those pegs wont go that far forward anyways, certainly not without a mounting plate. I just thought this info might be of some help.

Just got home checked my pics on the phone ane only had 1 usable
After cleaning up the mess I assessed my day and I was way more productive
than I realized.
I always overshoot my goals and today was no different It just slapped me in
the face when I didn't think about the pipe and kickstand it will be easy enough
to correct if I need to on the pipe side and have a game plan for the
kickstand.
tomorrow is another day
tenative rearset mockup (with solid mount lol)

My first bracket was built out of 1/8" plate about the same way yours is and the vibration got to it after about 2000 miles. It broke off on me going down the road one day. It did have a little more weight on it though. My remote nitrogen reservoir for the rear shock is strapped to my combo taillight/license bracket.
Thanks i was wondering about the vibration wasnt sure if it would hold or not. might try putting some gussets on it while i am waiting on parts

I went by today put the swingarm back on and took a quick measurement not really sure on the routing of the brake line,
I have to get it back on 2 wheels to reset the jack to fit my header and see if i am gonna have clearance on the right side rearset I think I am cutting it close may have to move them up not sure yet
Didnt reset the date on the camera so all of todays pic's say 1/02/06 on them my girl took a few shots while I was at it

on the shifter side you can weld a tab on the top of the shift lever and flip the linkage piece at the shaft to the top and run your linkage up top.to gain some room on the bottom.
you do not have to use that big master cylinder res.if you don't want to.
some folks do it this way.
kinda hard to see here but irishwills busa uses a short piece of hose as well.
just a thought.you got some options if you need some room.
