I like it, and the pin stripping would be pretty sweet and change the plug wires to red too. Thanks guys.

I finished painting my wheels this morning. It looks just like the pic Proxy worked up. I'm going to attempt to do some type of red and white pin striping before I post a new pic.

Went crazy with the pin striping, what you all think. I'm undecided, not sure if I like it or not.

Striping looks great. I am sold on everything except the tail. Sorry but it just seems a little too bulky for me. There are angles that I like it from(front). I can see how some would like it tho. I also never cared to see the brake line splitter and cables. I don't expressively like the Kaw cover that is used to hide them but it is better than nothing IMO. I kinda do like the all black ones. All in all your bike is one of the best I have seen I like the fab work and theme. You put it together pretty fast and got some great results. You gotta be proud!

Hello slickjr82, I did use my stock setup with the regulator/rectifier. On my B4 LTD it's was real simple, 3 yellow wires go to the reg./rect., the black w/yellow stripe goes to ground, the brown goes to 12+v and the white w/red stripe goes to 12+v. I put both my 12+v circuits on a 30A fused/switch circuit. So far no issues and charging 13+ volts. I hope this helps, can't wait to see your project.

man I like it but since you chopped the tail off you should have flipped your controls the other way. or just used em as highway pegs. Me personally, Like to be able to tuck into mike bike when I am pushing her pretty hard. (I have an 82` 750 LTD) like some parts of it though. Kool bike

Can't get use to the pin stripes, they had to go. They were to loud for me. I'm to old to be pushing her hard (Betraying HD), I'd rather stretch out and cruse. I'm 6'4" and my knees aren't the best anymore. I'm planning on doing something else with the tail for sure and may be more. Some more of you guys working on projects need to post them on here. I enjoy just checking out what everyone is doing.

To me that chrome front fender looks out of place with all the black around it. It also looks too stock. Maybe shorten it at both ends and make it look as minimal as possible, while still being a fender.

For the brake line splitter, I folded a black bandana up like a 3inch wide headband, and tied it around my forks to cover the brake splitter.

For the rear, I say lower it a bit. If your springs are rusty anyway, cut a full coil off and powder coat them. Then get a shorty rear fender and mount it to the swingarm. That would be more in tune with a bobber look.

If you look at pics of bobbed Sportsters, a lot of them rotate the stock rear fender up so it ends at the 12 0'clock position and the flare looks like a duck's ass. That could work here.

Also, if you are 6'4", maybe get some taller bars? I like to sit up, not lean over when I ride. I have 12" apes on my 750 LTD, but even some 6" Z-bars would straighten you up a bit.

Just my 2 cents.

EDIT: This is "sort of" what I am talking about with the rear fender. Not the picture I was trying to find though. This on is frame mounted. If you went with a bit longer fender, and swingarm mounted it, it could hug the tire.
