Explain to me the advantage of the 530 chain is. And while I'm asking what's a good sprocket teeth count combo for 70mph cruzing. Thanks for all the help.

I thought my chain was trash, because all the thrashing noises it was making. I took my bike outside for some better pics and found the problem. My center stand was coming up against the chain. I guess the original stop for it was the oem exhaust which got removed for a 4 into 1. By the looks of it, it was been rubbing a long time. Oh well, it's smooth now.

Do you have a bigger picture of your avatar pic? Looks good!
Take it from me cuz I found

Here a larger pic. I'm taking it to the shop, this morning, to weld on the tabs for the forward controls and going to try an make a tail piece to improve the look I'm wanting.

She is nice. I was wondering if you are going to run a tweek bar or short fender in the front. Even just the inner brace off a fender would tighten up that front end and make it less likely to get into a slapper or headshake. The seat came out great. Still waiting for mine. Supposed to be today. Supposed to be.

Never thought it would be a problem. The front fender is small enough and in good shape, I'll probably stick it back on. Thanks, good advice.

Here's what I got done today, along with some RIDE TIME!

I think it was the SR that had a bolt on fender. It actually bolted onto the fork brace. If you notice most fenders have reinforcement where it bolts on. It's not only for the fender it actually helps stiffen the forks. More important on the extended fork models. I've seen a lot just use the brace off a SR model. I rode a friends little Honda 360 cafe without a fender or a brace and got into a bad headshake that I wasn't sure I was gonna get thru. He slapped a cut down fender on it and it was a different bike.
I do like where you re-located the ignition but it kinda worries me too. A large set of keys adds a lot of weight jangeling on a little old key and it looks easy to knock it. Snapped keys are no fun either. If I was gonna keep it there I'd just have one key on it and make it so it doesn't rub on your sidecover.
Hope you don't think I'm trying to be an arse pointing my concerns out.

I think I'm gonna go the 530 chain conversion route. Gotta get new sprockets and chain anyway.

I'm going to cleanup the front fender and put it back on tomorrow. I learned a long time ago about using just the one key and carry a spare to boot. I like to glue it on something cool lookin, like a mini pool ball and a chrome nut or something similar. That way you can leave it in the ignition and no one knows what it is or pull it and put it in your pocket. As far as the suggestions go, keep them coming. I'll listen to anything anyone got to says that can save my life or make my life easier. What you got going on with your bike?

I main reason I was going to stretch the rear was to lower it (cheaply). Tonight I was looking at my rear shocks and they're pretty rusty. I'm wondering if I got a set of the HD Sportster shocks, if they would lower enough for my liken? Just thinkin.

I got the gear shifter side, of my forward controls, hooked up tonight. It works good, maybe a little adjusting. Tomorrow I'm going to try and get the rear brake hooked up, pics to follow. Next, I've got to get a box built under my seat, for tools and such. Here's a pic out in the sun.
