One thing I can't figure out about the jackshaft arrangement is how do you get both chains tight at the same time? Is there an eccentric in the rear hub? Or do you have to use some sort of tensioner on one or both chains?

they both adjust.
typically the rear stub axle is in an eccentric and the jackshaft is a slider type.like the chrome tubular swinger i posted with the jack shaft.

putting the disk brake on the jackshaft can clean up the wheel area as well.

I say chop it. 90% of the people who say they are going to restore it never do! So build what you want, single sided 240 would look great, makes me want to rethink mine. I am not sure why I see alot of talk about cutting and spreading the frame to fit a swingarm. I think it would be easier to machine the swingarm to fit the frame (there's a thought)!

I just found a speed triple arm complete with hub, brake mount, and shock linkage. Im buying it now.

I notice on a site over the atlantic that they have bolton kits and I was thinking of the same. It was simple.

i like tat top mount,it would be clean and simple if it mounted to rear motor mount holes B)

have you decided if you are going to go with a jackshaft or go outside the frame with the chain line?

i really like the tubular sssa, like these.

I saw that pic somewhere. And there was a guy that sold plans on how to build it but I havent been able to find them. But thats about what I want.

I thought about a jackshaft about a year ago but did a quick search and couldnt find anyone that sold them. Plus I thought it would be slightly out of my reach as far skill level but now Im rethinking. Because I dont really like those outboard bearing supports
