There is another member on here from the UK doing a similar setup, think he was using Talon hubs and Excel rims as well as Braking disks and custom triple clamps etc ( VERY nice setup ). Not sure if he has updated his thread but his stuff was a lot more BLING than mine...mine is the poor mans ghetto setup LOL.

Well, my swingarm/spacers/caliper stay etc should be done mid week. And I'll post up pics of it as soon as its back in the frame.

Had a bit of a side track lol, picked up a few parts for the GPz900...which ate into the KZ time/fund. Picked up another set of ZX636 forks, ZX636 wheels, ZX11C swingarm, Muzzy fan, and a few other goodies, sooooo as soon as the KZ is back together the 900 is on the list.

Changed up a few things since last post.

Decided to use a 750L3 frame instead of the KZ650. Mainly due to the engine mounting, oil cooler mounts, bit more bracing from factory etc.

I'm fabbing a top brace for the swingarm, using an Ohlins shock, will be similar geometry wise the the Ducati 900ss I took the idea from.

Oh using a different tail now too, TZ750. May use the Danmoto exhaust can on the muzzy header or if the tail seems too high I'll be using a set of Hindles cut down mounted undertail.

Ditched the stock top triple clamp for a billet machined top clamp. Toss up between using clipons ( 99 yami R1 ) or a set of Driven carbon Fiber bars on Driven risers ??? up in the air right now. I like the look of clipons but the Dirty bars will be more user friendly for me.

Either way I'm installing the Oberon bar end signals and CRG bar end mirrors I have. As well as gold ano'd Driven grips and Chinese gold ano'd levers. As well as the Daytona steering damper I nabbed.

Bit of progress, finished the subframe, and mounted the battery/electrics box under the TZ tail.

Bought an Ohlins rear shock ( Ducati 900ss ) and picked up a spool gun for my welder so I can now weld aluminum I'll be adding a top brace/shock mount to the swing arm and running a cantilever shock setup similar to the Ducati setup.

Are the Driven bars, a mx bend , can u get them in a superbike bend? i have mx bars now, and the superbike bars feel more comfy.

Dont think the Carbon bars come in a superbike bend, but they make them in anodised.

These are CR high bend and they feel awesome on it, although it may be different once riding down the road. But I have cave man arms so the wide straight bend suits me, and I'm a dirt rider so I'm use to the bend.

I was thinking that this new ass end would look better in a mono. i saw all the dual shocks u bought, and they r nice. BUT, i just kept seeing a mono back there. :evil:

I had a few Hiem Joints kickin around and figured an adjustable subframe would be neat. So started with 1x.120 tube and made some threaded inserts. The lower adjustable links are bolted to the upper sub. You have to losen the upper mounting bolts, and remove the lower bolts...then ya spin the Hiem Joints to lengthen the link. I would have made them with Hiems at both ends but this is a low buck build and buying 2 more Hiems was $40 or so I can use else where.
