$230, and OUCH on the shipping. And you will still have to weld on shock mounts. I do have that 636 swing arm for a fraction of the cost of that one. I'm quite sure it would be three times stronger than the stock 650 SA.

I have two Zephyr swing arms, a 550 and a 750. I'd sell one of them. If you are still looking PM me.

Nice project !

Thanks to mjg15 I now have the swingarm figured out. I'm headed down to the shop today to tinker on the bike, I may get the front forks swithched over to the gixxer set today for mock up, and get rid of a few more brackets etc. Think I'll pull the rear suspension/wheel to get access to the frame easier. I'll post up pic's later this evening.

Worked on it for a few hours this afternoon, not much done other than hacking off unwanted bracketry and grinding the welds down.

Pulled the ZX forks and tried the GSXR triples, I'll need a steering stem to do the conversion....and I dont want to press out the 650SR stem as the front end is complete, so I'll press out a stem from a 750L to use. Hmmmmm the ZX is already setup so I may use it to save time on this build. I can use the GSXR forks on the next project.

Scrounged through the shop for at least 30 minutes to find my signals, tailight, and the Koso gauge...wouldnt ya know, they were in the first cabinet I look in, funny how that works

Still have to cut a few more things off and weld a couple things back on

But I stripped the frame this mornning, man this frame has been painted 3 times since it left the factory  oh well, I'll be welding on my brackets for the rearsets tomorrow, modding the tank mounts and welding them on, and then I'll hack the rear frame a bit shorter and start mounting the tail section...Battery and electrics will be under the tail.

Thanks, it's changine direction as I go LOL.

Motorcyclists new mag declares the CHOPPER is dead and the CAFE bike is the new IT bike....PUKED in my mouth a little. So no spoked wheels or cafe derived anything for this build. Gonna do the late 70's Endurance racer theme all out now. No more spoked wheels or fuckin checkered stripes LOL. Gawd, can you imagine OCC doing Cafe bikes....oh the atrocities that will be built, I'm freaking cringing already :(

Was a bit off stock in that pic, but she was pretty...now she's in pieces LOL. All the nasty green paint pokin out from under the poorly adhearing black frame paint was one of the reasons I started to tear it down....figured I needed to paint the frame and it got WAY out of hand.

If I were in europe, think I'd prefer a stay at the IOM. But for now the great white north is home :)

My seat arrived yesterday, swingarm should be here late this week/early next week...Thanks again mjg15.

I wasnt sure how long the frame was going to be bare so I shot a quick coat of primer on it for now. Started fitting the rearsets where I marked them out, and I had to remove the rear master from the rearset and mount it to the frame. Master was hitting the frame and I wasnt too keen on cutting the frame for clearence.
Did a few quick cuts on the seat to fit it, I'll clean up the edges and build the mount this week. May lay up a seat pan to have covered and use industrial velcro to fasten it to the tail section. Going to the bike show in Toronto on Saturday so theres a lost day working on the bike :(

I'm also thinking of adding an upper fairing, 89-90 ZX7 with a single offset headlight...any thoughts ?

Brackets for rearsets started.

H2R seat, 750L4 tank.
