ways to go still....

got the front end up and off..

new oil ....new springs...clean and polish..newer ,no dent fender....it is pretty shitty in there where no cleaning could be done much over the yrs,behind the head light and fork eras..under the steering neck ect.....lot of stuff is pretty bad up close...making notes for next years list and tear down and trying to polish up what i can for now

........trying not to tweak on stuff and just keep moving....
this shimming worked great and the bike with four ties is really stable to work on


the shitty stage is now....with the whole front end off it makes a guy sick to look at it....i have been here many times and it is all about pushing through and not flaking...


couple of things i want to document for pictures ,for wheni shop for a front end and parts for the other frame

racecrafters springs ...came with everything and plenty to read and digest....nice little sticker too



D&G old school tall thread air caps and this amount of preload 1/2 inch, hung at rest will stiffen up the progressive springs...used some nice clear 10 weight oil....

how many 20 yr old metzler lasers are still around...i am saving this set just for kicks.....no cracks and just hard....but they were fun to ride on still.....freaky

worked on the front end some more ....things are pretty neglected...got the newer fender on ...and some much needed stuff....3.25 Avon roadrider...surprised not any cracks in that 80's ME33...guess that was a top notch tire...old ..yes...hard...yes...cracked or handled funny...no










kept hearing engine through the hills and thought maybe the bikes were having a track day...so the neighbors kid and i went for a spin...

turns out we snuck into a car race series...just in time to catch some laps of a small vintage type race thing

trying to clean some more before i get too far along and tighten the hand spaces up






took a couple of videos just for fun at the track and am seeing if i can get them to uplaod...

the front end is on and i will be tying the speedos and elec and such up soon...closer...closer...nice new bars and some other stuff...trying not to nick anything as i go...
