z1 streetfighter

so im finaly getting around to posting a build thread of my z1 streetfighter, the hangover from st.paddys last night has me incapable of doing anything except sitting on my couch with my laptop. iv had this bike for 3 years or so now and its been through a make over about 2 years ago and another last year but i think this is how she will stay for a while. its the bike i have always wanted since i saw my first streetfighter over 15 years ago. so i hope i can get pics to work......

this is the frame braced and the shock mount welded in, i brace it in 11 places, so might say even to much but safty first right?

i had to mount the battery box back because of the shock mount being in the way so i used an old battery box of what i think was a kz900 78.

i alse shaved the tail and the turn signals will come out of where the old shock mounts were. this is a close up of the new mount.

can anyone tell me how to post pics from photobucket? this one at a time thing is killen me, ha.

haha finaly figured it out so here are some of the frame primed, i had to move the tank stoppers back by about 1 1/2 inches because the tank was hitting the 50mm fork legs and i had to dent the tank as ill show later.

the frame is painted with truck bed liner and then a semi gloss coat put on top, it looks real good, it has a bit of a textured look to it.

here is the tank, it was hitting on both side and i wanted full rotation on both sides and i remember seeing a tank that had been done the same way so i got a piece of 50mm thick walled tube and a hammer and just gave'r, then filled and smoothed it until it was finished.
