the rim size for a 180 is 5.5" and it can accommodate a 190. they recommend a 6" rim for a 200 tire.
as far as arms go, most guys do this to 1000cc bikes . it may be tough to find someone who has done a 550. if u look at some of the members arms and see 1 that u like, u could pm them for some measurements. i have a ZRX rear end, but i dont think a zrx arm would look right for a bobber?
i am not familiar with a 550 so i cant help with the offset, but most 1000's use a 1/2" to 5/8" offset.

thats kool like i said im probally gonna bob the bike soi plan on cutting off the whole rear section so i can make it as wide as i need to. i was just wanting to go with a fatter rear tire have the chopper bob look. do u have any experiance with cutting the neck of the bike to create a slight rake. thought about doing that also

I was wondering what ever happened to this bike? It seems like you got so close and then we never heard an update. Are you still out there Aengus? Seems like I remember that you were going to sell this and move home. Just curious. Such a cool project that I cannot believe it never got completed.

He's not too much of an absentee, looks like his last log in was 2 months ago. Damn cool fighter though, I can't imagine him not finishing it.
