He said it flowed 73CFM, I assume thats with 10" test pressure at .500" lift. A stock J head would do 70.

I think my little 650 is gonna be quite the rocket! Wont be long now.

Not a clue. But I guess since the GPz750 was listed with 92, I should be well upwards of that. I have GPz cams, my 650 head which flows more now than a stock J head, and she's 810cc. So I guess I wouldn't be unrealistic to say she might make a little over 100hp at the crank. Too bad the only dyno in my province can't do bikes, I'd be really interested to see how powerful she is when done.

Can't wait for monday, I can get in the shop again to get that bolt out, then its prep the engine for paint time!

I pray it comes out easy for you- I sheared 2 main bearing bolts in my upper case and had to have them removed with an EDM machine. I thought for sure I was going to scrap the case and have to buy another one. I saw Leons initial work, your swinger will look sweet when he's done! And I agree with Josh, 100hp at the crank will be a blast in a 650 frame :woohoo:

Don't tell me that!! I hope I don't shear any. That was an old sprocket cover bolt that someone must have overtightened once upon a time in the bike's history. I drove it like that for a couple years.

I'm just really excited now, should come together pretty quick now, I'll have the engine all buttoned up byt he time I get my swinger back, then its all just spinnin wrenches.

This afternoon I put new bearings and seals in my wheels. They really needed it, most of the bearings were still OK but the seals were all shot.

You'll be fine, I sheared my bolts off during disassembly  I'm jelous, you're on the home stretch! I need to get into the garage today and make some progress on my shock mount and quit wallowing in self pity and jelousy

Yes, get out and get to work! Don't be too jealous yet, I still have an engine to clean, paint, and assemble.

I may have clean engine parts, but I still have the majority of engine parts to aquire, not to mention getting the cheddar together to send my head to Larry C  NOW do you see how far ahead you are? You'll be getting your tuning dialed in while I'm getting a rolling chassis finished

Haha I suppose so. But then I'm not doing anything with my suspension, and I've been gathering my parts for three years or so.

well its nice to see that things are progressing well for u T. have u blasted the cases yet? i would put some old bolts in all of the holes and make sure u seal up any oil passages. its a bitch to get sand, or glass out latter.
what was it, u were doing to the tree?
it would be best to through some braces on the frame while its apart. all of that HP will be twisting things around on u in mid corner.

We need more pics bud.
Good luck, and keep up the good work.B)

I know you need pics, but my camera is out of action. It sucks!

Cases are all blasted, and ready except for the one bolt I need to get out. When I did them I taped up everything, a little sand got in but not a lot. All I need to do now is give them a good wash and paint them. The only thing I was doing to the tree was taking off the old bearing race.
