OK then, for your consideration as story short and true:
When I got my bike the electircals were very, very poor. The PO had Ignition Switch problems among many others... that's why he let it go so cheap.
His mechanic finally gave up and just put a Pig-tail connection on the white connector that normally goes to the Ignition switch. No switch, not lock, no nothing... just pull out the Pig-tail and walk away (those white connectors have a good friction dimple lock so it does not fall out).
The Pigtail just hung out just under the Head Light with about 5 inches of wire left for easy grabbing. I thought it was a real cool solution. Don't need anything under the seat and NO changes to the wiring at all. Just Plug-and Play.
Sorry no picks.
May not be for you but I love to tell the story to my boys...
Best of success,
Bill

Thats actually hilarious, and who knows, I might just do it. Kind of like hot-wiring your bike every time you want to ride it. :woohoo:
I like the idea of a switch though, and since I wanna re-wire all the crucial electrics (ignition, charging, etc) I may as well put something in.

How many pins are in your ignition switch pigtail connector? I need to know which pigtail to carry around when I come to NF to pick up my new KZ650/810 . I'm starting to think that your bike is like sasquatch or the chupacabra. I havn't seen a picture in a while. Where's that smilie that pokes you with a stick when you need it? I'm on your heals.

Engine pictures!!! I apologize for the poor quality, phone pics. This is just a mockup, I'm gonna wait for the paint to harden up a bit before assembly, but I had to see what it's gonna look like.

Looks good to me!
What did you paint the engine with? I swear you posted it somewhere but couldn't find it quickly...
Do you think it will hold up well during assembly/daily use?

HaHa! I finally goaded you into posting some pics. Looks good. Are you leaving the fins all black, or are you doing the polished edge thing?

Thanks guys!
No more polishing for me, screw that. My main concern right now is getting her assembled so I can ride. Summer is here and I don't have a bike!!
