It goes slowly the right direction, but Hey! I have never been closer, just look.


Hydraulic clutch conversion.

Using master cylinder and pipes from Hayabusa. Fits perfectly, look at the video at the bottom.

First making an template.

Carefully making where the holes are been drilled.

Here is the slave cylinder, bought on Ebay, its from a ZX900 (GPZ900R).

Its been blasted and Gun Koted, wih new sealing.

Its narrow where the cylinder its been fitted.

So, heading over to the junkyard, to collect some aluminum. :evil:

Here is the outcome. 9mm.

Drilling out the holes.

Bullseye for the clutch rod.

I just needed to cut the original clutch rod, but since I had three all with different length its not 100% sure that that is the common way to do it.

You can see a bearing (12X28X8) on the gear axle, the original cover supports it, so I need to make a new support for it.

Here is the final result, I will ofcourse blast and Gun Kote all the parts.

Starting to look right.

In order to make the cylinder fit without built to much in I need to put on an old outer race steering bearing.

Then it will be something like this, still left is to cut and trim it.

As you can see on this video it functions OK. The bearing fits exactly when I press it in, and I will secure it.

The clutch conversion is almost there, but something is missing.

I had some covers from the ZX1100, and after some brainstorming I decided me to do some convert.

The ignition switch is in the left side cover.

And here is the rear hugger, from TL1000R, bought new on eBay. Needed to make hole for the left shock.

The front fender is new aftermarket from a GSX-R1000 K10, bought on Ebay from US. Do NOT fit straight on a Hayabusa fork, need some converting.

This is the first layer of 2K clear cote, coming more.

And here we are, engine runs well now, bought #130 jets and fairly OK so far, but need some more adjustments when I get it on the road. Only been driving small trips.

Ordered this parts couple of days ago, from Sweden, they are made in Germany and they called me up and told me that it may take a little extra time, but thats OK.

The front light will be a little modified I guess...

Also I got some second hand Øhlins shocks, more about them soon.

So, not much left now.

Well, I bought some Øhlins, I guess they are at least 20years old, maybe more...

Looks like shit.

It looks like overhauling shocks is a religion if you ask some people, the only problem is finding someone that can vacuum and fill oil and nitrogen. If you cant do it by our self. So I have to find someone that can do it, if not I have to do it my self.
If you want to do something that is a little out of the normal here in Norway, its heavily expensive, if i should make one of the two (!) shock companies here to do this they would charge me over 500 dollars before anything of new parts where included... Just the labour.
I will look for some more advanced shocks anyway, this will do the job for now.

Done with some new seals, and Gun Koted.

I just received some Øhlins stickers bought on Ebay I will put on, make them look a little more nicer.

I checked the fuel level sender, maybe I will use it and connect it to the warning light.

All readings was in the limit, so it is OK.
