JEFFG1 wrote: well i will say that the bike looks great but i cant get over the paint i have been doing custom paint for about 20 years now i dont think i could do any better with auto paint than you did with can paint congarts job well done
it is mostly auto paint.primer, then black, silver, i had to use some rattle can for the red to match the rest of the parts. then i used 2 pt urethane clear over top.
i'm thinking that the front fender would benefit from some added graphics too ?
thanks guys.

Very nice bike.
I was thinking of doing the same to our 73 Z1, Rear swingarm and wheel off of ZRX and front forks too..
But she shot down the idea. I will keep working on her.
Really like the bike!
I would of slanted the shocks more forward to raise the back end a bit or rotate the eccentrics.

in the newer pick i have the shocks laid down more at the top, towards the front.
u have to remember that this frame is dif.than the zrx.
i copied the shock angle of the zrx, so the shock action is the same as yours. but this brought issues . the output sprocket to swingarm axle spacing is dif. on modern bikes, so this causes chain tension issues as u raise the rear end, above the stock kz geometry. i had to run the chain looser, and add a idler wheel, to pick up the slack. raising the rear also lessens the rake . i had to modify the front trees to try to gain some of the lost clearance, and level the bike a bit. the clearance is not a big deal on the street , but huge on the track. the front end isnt bad but it could stand a little more trail.
thanks for the kind words.
