I actually really like those bikes. The green is freaking awesome and they put down really nice power from a parallel twin 650. Great around-town/weekender bike.

Mark - what duplicolor did you use? Did you thin it out or was it from a spray can?

i used the spray can Duplicolor and covered it with an Acrylic Urethane 2 part clear.
I love that Green. B)

How many coats? It looks fairly transparent still. I like it. I personally think the clear will take care of it as long as there was good adhesion.

i had already put 3 under the red. then 3 cts of red. then i put 2 cts over the red. the red is very transparent. it is over the black.

So what paint did you wind up using to finish it? It looks a lot darker red than your first attempt with the candy red.

KZ12R huh, I like it!

EDIT: I guess if I had more than two brain cells, I would have looked up the page to see that you used the Dupli-Color. Must be time for bed. Nice job, it turned out real shiny.

I went back to Page 1 of this thread to see what you started with - WOW, you really brought that tired old scooter back to life! Very impressive! I tried to cut & paste the old pic so folks could see the contrast, but I couldn't figure out how to do it. Maybe you should show the old pic next to the new. Nice work. Ed
