Would I be able to go battery less on a 78 750? With battery my bike usually takes about 3 or more kicks to start. And if possible would you be able to do this schematic bare bones for kick only? Thanks for your help in advance.

if i may sir. could i get a bare bones diagram for a 1982 honda cm 450. i want a toggle switch on/off instead of igniton. headlight bright only. tail light. and brake light. electric start only it doesnt have a kick start. if you could include what guage the wires need to be that would be awesome. when the toggle switch turns on lights go on and it can be started. toggle switch off kills the bike. not sure if thats possible but thats what i am ideally going for...thanks in advance dude...really a great service your doing here spreading the knowledge.

For reference --- Here's the essential wiring needed for Kawasaki's electronic ignition, with a battery, to kick-start or bump-start the engine and keep the ignition firing until the battery discharges.

There's no charging system (i.e., no generator, rectifier or regulator), and no chassis wiring for lights, switches, etc.

Most likely a little too spartan for most street riders, but could be okay for an hour or so of daylight racing.

Good Fortune! :)

@loudhvx are you still making these diagrams?? If so, I really could use your help.

I have a 1981 GPZ1100B1 which was converted from FI to carb. Right now, my bike is in need of wiring magic. I saw this thread, and can not start to say what amazing work you've done to help everyone out.

With that being said.. I have a wiring nightmare that needs addressing. I would love to have the bike bare bones as possible, and need your expertise. The bike needs the following...

-Battery
-Headlight
-Tail light
-Signals
-Series of toggle switches to replace key'd ignition.
-Button start/kill
-Retain original charging system

The toggle switches will be hidden at my disclosure. The bike will not run gauges or require any safety lights (neutral, blinkers, oil..)

Can you help a fellow rider out?
