bought the kz750 last may, almost a year ago. took it as an addition to a virago xv400/535 www.chopperweb.info/forum/showthread.php...page=15&pagenumber=1 and paid just $300
1 cyl was fucked up and seller said he couldn't have found spare parts, but i checked up evil bay, there were plenty, viseco kits, cam chains, complete engines, forks etc etc
so i bought it for restoration

an idea to convert the fugly chopper into smth more decent like a cafe race came in to my head very fast, just waqnted to do it without much effort but it never goes that way

the seat unit and tank were no go for a cafe, so i decided to use a modded tank from another oldie and to make a seat unit with hump matching to the tank

nice fab skills. im not surprised you cut that stock gusset out. Some of the factory welds are real nasty. I have a 80 kz750 waiting to be rebuilt and that same gusset with its terrible welding always catches my eye.
