Back to the KZ. It was time for its second oil change. I dumped the first oil and filter after about hour of running time. This oil has about 10 or so hours on it.

Not much metal or junk on the drain plug magnet. A light black film covered the bottom of the oil filter plate. I forgot how much fun it is to cut and remove safety wire on a hot motor!!!!!!

Thanks for the pics of the GSXR. love the dry clutch and other cool goodies on the limited. My buddy talked me into boxing in the frame and adding braces. It looks like the old Yosihimura slabsides. my 750 engine needs a total rebuild so im on the hunt for an 1100 engine or possibly a bandit 1200.

I entered three of my bikes in the VJMC West Coast Bike Show yesterday in Prescott Valley. Temperature was in the lower 90's. Turnout was right over 60 or so bikes. Neither of my Suzuki's won anything, but my KZ1000 Superbike won the Vintage Kawasaki class!!!!! I was very pleased to bring home at least one trophy!!!!

There was many people there that I talked to said that my bike brought back memories of the heydays of American road racing to them. One guy wanted to know if I wanted to go Vintage road racing with it, and would be very happy to ride it!!! Sorry about not posting any photos from the show. I became deathly sick after I fried my bald head from the Arizona sun. Forgot how powerful the sun out here really is. No smog to filter out some of its intensity. This is the worst I have ever fried my head. Its already starting to blister today!! If it wasn't for many of the members of the VJMC club, I never would have gotten my bikes loaded back up, and unloaded when I got back home!! THANKS TO ALL OF YOU THAT HELPED ME OUT!!!

Congratulations!

Even though two bikes did not win a trophy, they may inspire a younger enthusiast to save another old bike.

Perhaps we should start a Dr. Gamma hat fund.

I had my old Schumacher hat on as we loaded up the truck. At the bike show site, I didn't put my hat back on. We stood around outside with other members and bull shitted for about an hour and a half before we unloaded. By then my head was fried!!!!! I bent over to loosen the tie downs and I about passed out!!! The 92 degree heat, the fried head, and not eating did me in for the rest of the day!!! I drank 5 bottles of Gatorade and a water in 5 hours.

It only takes about 15 to 20 minutes before you start to burn in the Arizona sunshine!!! An hour and a half you are a red lobster!!!

Here is a distance shot of my three bikes at the VJMC bike show yesterday. Look behind the Suzuki Rotisserie and you can see the Superbike with the GSXR and the Gamma next to it!!!

..

Unfortunately no.

I was feeling so bad by the time we got the bikes out of the truck, I had a hard time just walking to the display area!!!

You can see me with my hat on sitting on the bench trying to get myself to feel better!!!

This photo is for bluej58. This is the clutch release you are looking for!!! It is a bolt on part for your bike. This is the best clutch release that Kawasaki ever put in their 900/1000's!!!!
