Oh good grief!:( No rest for the wicked, I guess. NO, I'm not making any progress! Been house shopping over near Hays and just signed papers today, then had to be back in Topaka by day's end to teach a motorcycle class for the weekend. I think this means NO progress all summer, as soon as I get back home (Monday) my ass will be packing my garage goodies for the move...probably take me right up to school... ...nice... ...not!

Even sold one of the Hawks for some 'whatever' money for the house buy...got an instant $2500 out of it...it was a pretty nice little unit, but *nnnnnghuh!* ... no balls at all:blush:

Should have my 82 GPz750 back from Rhode Island sometime in the near future...it'll make me "whole" again... :woohoo: ...whatever. I'llshow pics when it rolls in. ...at least that's something, eh?

Yeah, Hays is out there a ways...but they're taking pretty good care of me and the wife is good with it all, so I guess it's what we're supposed to do. The deal probably won't close for a month, which is just about time for school to start, so on the in between time we'll be packing.

The GPz is the '82 version which is the one that looks just like the 81-82 GPz1100 and the ELR. Which, this particular bike actually looks like an ELR b/c it's been painted. That's sort of how I ended up with the bike; a guy pulled a fast-one on a car-whole-saler and sold it to him as an ELR. The guy is an acquaintance and asked me to come check out his new purchase and when I told him what the bike was he (naturally) went ballistic, made a police report (the seller had fled the state...NO! ) and about a year and a half later the whole-saler sold it to me ... cheap. I didn't have it for long and an old surfing buddy of mine talked me out of it and then he ended up in Rhode Island, he's in the process of fixing up an 83 CB1100F and I had some hot-rod parts for one, so we made a deal and I'm getting it back as soon as I can arragne shipping.

That blacked out Z1R is absolutely beautiful. Makes me think I should be blacking out my bike instead of going with the blue frame again.
