My vote is for a single green line that follows the crease on the tank up to the neck. It would really pull it all together IMHO. Your bike is looking awesome!

Just got it back from the dyno. Put the needle up as high as it will go. Replaced main jets with 130s vs. 125 stock. Got 45 HP at the rear wheel and 46 ft-lbs of torque and average air fuel ratio of 12.5 : 1. Maybe I just got lucky but running the pods didn't turn out to be near the ordeal I feared. Kawasaki claimed 55HP and 43 ft-lbs at the crank in 76 so I'm thinking it's pretty darn good for an old gal.

I'm not so sure I'd be happy with modding my engine for a nearly 20% loss in power.

Measured at the crank and the rear wheel are two different things.

It sounds great! those are reasonable numbers for the rear wheel. I'm impressed the torque is that high. Measuring at the crank is always BS imho, manufacturers only it do it so they can claim higher numbers. When I build the my 750 twin hotrod motor I will be happy if i can get an honest 55 at the rear wheel.

Yep, that's what I was thinking. A shape on the pin stripe that looks like if flows continuously from the tail up to the top of the tank (broken by the seat of course) the green on the black looks terrific so far. You've done a really nice job on that bike. Very subtle changes have really enhanced the look of the bike. Give yourself some credit on your design work! Best looking 750 twin I've seen I reckon!

Oh gosh I'm getting all blushy now B) I'll take a little credit for being an artiste but a lot of it goes to the members here who steered me towards the; G side covers, flipping the front calipers so they sit behind the forks, the Supertrapp can and just generally seeing plenty of bikes here that retain proper respect for the factory style while putting a little of something of yourself into it.

Here is the dyno report from Richmond Motorsports. Look at that torque curve! I should hire myself out for pulling out tree stumps. Clearly there's a hiccup around 4750 RPM though. Len (the tuner) told me that he thought it might be ignition. Ever since I put the Acewell electronic instrument on it it's tach reading jumps all over the place. Len tells me he got the same behavior from the dyno tach. He did some dyno tweak to calm it down for testing but suggested maybe dump the points for electronic ignition though I'm not sure that's desirable or even possible. Probably couldn't hurt to do new plug wires and coil? Oh, and pods haterz :evil:

And another thing, seems the KZR hive mind has decided. I'll most likely put the green pinstripe up the tank crease to the neck but not till the winter, having too much fun riding it for now.

I remember back when I found my kz440; someone told me to check if it still had it's electronic ignition present... it seems that the 440's often had their ignitions removed when they were parked/taken out of use, so they could be used on the 750 twins. ;)
