Double check your years before spending $$.. '96+ Gsxr750's have a 25mm axle, no speedo drive and flat brake rotors. I think you have a '93-95 Gsxr750 front end.

My axle is 28mm and does have a speedo drive. What do you mean by flat brake rotors?

StreetfighterKz wrote: Just went back through your thread. Measure the OD of the upper fork tubes at the top and bottom clamps. It's possible you have a Gsxr1100 front end. The Gsxr750 measures 50/54 and the Gsxr1100 is 52/56 I think.

Are you measuring the axle at bearing surface? It should be 20mm there. The end with the nut is bigger than the main axle shaft. As for flat rotors...there is no offset ie no dish to them. The braking surface is in the same plane as the mounting surface.

I measured the axle right in front of the rotor. Rotors are off set.

I'd put money on you having a '93-95 Gsxr750 front end. The 50/54 eliminates the 1100, the dished rotors and speedo drive eliminates the '96+ SRAD style forks, and the 6 piston calipers eliminates the '92-93 Gsxr600W models.

So my next question is, Is it a good idea to put a 2" on fork tubes. Seems like this may be a weak link.

N/P. I just don't want anyone to spend money on the wrong parts. I've done it too often for me to let someone else do it if it can be helped.

Latest update. I just got an email back from the guy and, from what I understand,
He can do any model/year. He needs the top caps with all the gubbins in them,or the complete fork. He machines out the gubbins, threads it all up and replaces it into a new, lengthened section. So keeping all the original spacing. You adjust the forks in the same way only with a longer screwdriver/socket. He also fits a cap to top everything off.
He can do whatever length you want. He can go to 12cm which is very long and reckons most streetfighters go to between 5cm and 8cm.Also be aware that sometimes the fork tapers a bit around the bottom yoke which can limit how much it can be raised.
He sent me a link to his webpage/site/whatever.

(My Dutch isnt so good,so Im relying on google translate but I think that pretty much covers it.)

For me,I like the idea.though Im not going to make a decision until I have the bike back and make some proper measurements.(sometime this week,I hope).
If youre interested in this, you can contact the guy direct, theres an email address on his site (Im sure he speaks English, most Dutch people do). Or if you are ok to wait and see how it goes with mine (if I go for it) I can give you a 'Happy' or 'Not Happy'.and take it from there.
He sent a couple more photos .Looks like a before and after.

I contacted Les Holt about making a dropped triple upper and lower to get some offset back as well. The fork extentions concern me. They seem like a likely weak spot. I am tempted to go the cheaper route but have not really spared any expense to this point other than going with cheap rear shocks.

Do it right Jon ;)
You will ride without fear knowing its done right.
Those extensions look nice , but I am having a hard time trusting them in my mind.
