It's winter now. Just got to get the parts going to finish. Been tossing around new manifold ideas too.

That bike is my tr1 build.

This is the most intensive build thread I've seen on here so far, lol so much detail and inspiration. Fuckin long ass process, but
everything looks badass... I think the perfect jacket to go with the bike would be www.motorcyclehouse.com/vikingcycle-ange...e-jacket-for-men.htm ... Check it out and let me know what oyu think :p

Thanks. There are much more crazier builds than mine, perhaps mine is slightly more radical though.

An update Les is going to build me custom trips and I decided to go with his rear sets. Until I get those items I wont be spending time on the kz.

It's funny about the jacket. I actually have a full mad max style set-up that I roll.

So it's been a bit quiet but I'm ramping up again here. I have my intake manifold off to the machine shop for a redesign to support the super b carb. That should be 2 weeks. The seat I dropped off to get redone to fit the narrower and shorter length that shoulbe be less than two weeks. I started to buy stuff for the wiring. Since this bike is on the shorter path compared to my Tr1 I will start re-focusing on it.

I solved the tank hitting the triple tree as I designed new mounts with hockey pucks of all things..lol

I have a whole bunch of little things to do but its actually fairly close to being finished from the grand scheme of things.

So the seat shop wanted 600 for redoing the seat and trimming the pan. Fork that!

They said it was more for them to recover the vinyl than make from new. And 150 for new foam which I think is horse shit too.

Based on that I pick it back up today so I can make a new pan myself. I will probably buy my own foam too and lay it. I just can't sew at all.

I think they were milking me on labor, I will call around. They have done a few of my seats but this time they are ripping me off. The seat better made out of gold for that much! Funny thing mike bike DID have gold plating on it before I started..lol. I watched $700 of plating melt and sand away.

I will make a new pan for who ever is doing it so I dont hear about these stupid prices.

I'm old school allot of guys are making big money adding gel to factory seats never have had any experience with it personally. worst case it would make for a cleaner finished product (comapcts easily less room for wrinkles)

I was so pissed off about the rip off quote I actually ended up ordering a Gel seat kit from ebay to make it myself, enough to do two bikes. It's gonna be a few weeks till I get it to move forward on the seat.

So I finally got my manifold and its pretty bad ass. The design concept was mine. I read that for a motorcycle supercharger like mine the larger the intake area over the screws the more performance you will get and the tapering will do nice to add some velocity. My machinist took my shitty specs and I couldn't believe that he pulled off my vision exactly to what I was after.

The second last pic is the stock vs new, 42mm vs 57mm!! :)

I'm in a bit of weird phase here as both this bike is a slightly closer to completion to my xv920 . I also have another xv920 which will be done before both of the bikes so I have to decide where to spend my time, Now I have the manifold the rear sets are the main last thing to rectify from a fab perspective.
