Yepp, sharp eye...the pic is from my KZ750 that I rebuilt some years ago.
The sub frame will hold up...will reinfore it with some sheetmetall.

Long story short:

Pulled the KZ 1100 engine apart and saw that the cylinder was changed for a 998 cc.
So I called the scrap yard and ordered a 1098 cc one. When it arrived I discovered that one sleev was seriously damaged. My plan was to bore it up to 1170 cc anyway but the qustion is: Will a bore from 72.5 mm to 75 mm (2.953") clear this damage ?
The force from the damage also moved the sleev out of it´s socket...

My options are to get a different cylinder from the scrap yard or get 80% money back.
So if the damage get fixed with a bore then I´m better of getting some money back for it since I would bore it up anyway.

Anyone know far you bore it up when using a WISECO 1170cc big bore kit ?

Only difference i might have gone with would be to hide the subframe tubing behind the side panels, but it looks amazing this way too!

Thanx Tusch,
Ha..ha...to have the tubes line along the side panels was not negotiable. It will look nice when the frame in silver boxes up the side panel i bronze/gold. But thanx for the input !

Why dont you start a project ? Budget, age, skill, space ?
There is a solution for each one of these...

Thanx for you support...allways nice to get some feedback.

Turboguzzi...took the cylinder to a specialist today and he said now way.
The damage is to deep, needs a new sleev to make it work.

One more frame pic:

Thanx Mark,
Yepp..I will post all the pics from the seat build but I thinkt that will be in march 2013 in the end of the project. Will be tricky to get it to sit well with the steep angle of the frame.
