Wow, Nelson. Has it really been 3 months since your last update? Good to see you back at it.

You might have a look at your clutch while you have the motor down. It will cost you one gasket for a little peace of mind. My clutch was torched when I tore my motor apart. Your results may vary.

Seems odd that the bearing hole doesn't line up with the passage. Should I enlarge it to line up? Of course I'll probably be puttin in new bearings, but if those don't line up should I enlarge them?

Looks like there aint any deck height to measure here. I thought I was going to shave the cyl block a little to boost compression, but maybe I can't.

I put some clay in the plug holes to check clearance. It didn't work out so well. Only 2 were useful at all.

Well I wasn't too thrilled with these results so I decided to put some fresh globs of clay on and reasemble it to do it properly. That's where I left off.

Looks to me like it was swapped from another spot or another bike. I think those were specific to bike/location due to manufacturing methods?

hmmm.. that would be the first clue that this engine has ever been apart. I'm under the impression it's never been torn down, but of course I could be wrong with such an old bike.
