Got the new races in. I taped em up good for protection and will now continue stripping the frame. Maybe sounds like I did it in the wrong order, but I liked being able to heat up the frame and drop in the races. I wasn't going to torch my fresh paint!

You can also see the mods I did a couple yrs ago for the GSXR steering damper.

Doing a little bodywork on the swingarm. Seems odd somehow, but I want the most visible areas to be really smooth. There's lots of grinder marks from cutting off brackets I don't need anymore.

Welded in the extra braces you guys recommended. Kept a gap at the back for wires or whatever.

using paint stripper on the frame. I notice areas near welds are much tougher to get off. I think the paint got baked on and actually benefited from some heat. Except where it burned of course.

You don't have your carburetors boiling on the stove. That's what's wrong.

Omni epoxy primer. I started with a small brush to get inside some tight spots, like that rat's nest behind the steering head. Then spray, spray... and more spray...

I also did the swingarm and lower triple clamp just because I had a bit of primer left in the gun.
